Halfway through with MARCH MADNESS

You’re right. It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything on ye ol’ Power Year blog. That’s because March Madness has made me nuts! Okay, maybe just half crazy. I’m happy to report that I’ve crossed three of the seven items off my “MARCH MADNESS Things To Do List.” And after Thursday night, I’ll be able to cross off one more. Whoop!

Three down, four more to go...

If you look closely, you’ll notice that sometimes, due dates must be flexible, because acquiring something like a sewing machine takes research, thought, and a kick-ass discount. I’m still waiting on that last part.

If you’re part of the 2011 Online Power Year Pledge Class or have launched your own Power Year, how are things going? What lessons have you learned so far and what advice can you offer to others? How are you documenting your progress so that you can look back on this year and give yourself a big pat on the back?

  1. good post megan, keeping it real. sometimes there are unforeseen impacts…

i like the bigger picture of documenting my success for when the power year is complete, puts these next 15 minutes in perspective – i can jump in where i am and stay on track instead of fretting about being on track.

one thing i need to do to boost my focus is have fun drawing out my power year goal and rules and post them on my kitchen cabinets so i can remember what my passion is for the day.

the other road block i’m experiencing is getting noticed for my give-a-way. i realize i’m not interested in spamming the blog-o-sphere, and my few link posts have not come up with anything yet. but i’ll stay on course and roll this month’s prize into next month’s give-a-way, like the lottery!

or, you could be the one lucky winner here… http://rootmix.blogspot.com/2011/03/yay-its-power-day-give-way.html

    1. I like the image of your posted goals on kitchen cabinets, in the morning when you’re feeding your body nourishment, you’ll also be reminding your brain of what you need to do to feed your soul!

  2. Nice work on getting things crossed off the list. The sewing machine will come. It’s just a matter of time…trust the unique, cool energy you are putting out to the world and know it will come back to you in the form of cool discount. Someday (hopefully sooner than later).

I’ve had some trouble with wasted days lately. I’m learning that I have to have some kind of organized day-starter to kick my morning off, or I fall into a morass of unorganized surfing and mindless chores. I think on days when I don’t have anything planned, I’m going to schedule a meeting with myself at the coffee shop.

    1. Thanks Amy! Totally appreciate the good juju…it’s nice to be reminded that I should be patient about the sewing machine.

I find meetings with myself at coffee shops very helpful as well, especially coffee shops with no wi-fi 🙂
